Module de survie (2017–2020)

Module de survie is an architectural installation that provides the experience of what could be—in a future of limited food and energy resources—a modular, zoomorphic and ecological habitat that gives full autonomy to each individual. In the spirit of “earthships,” those dwellings based on principles of recycling and self-sufficiency, this module constitutes a sculptor’s imagined projection of living quarters that can produce the food, filtered water, and gas needed for home use. The installation simulates an “eco-technological” environment whose ovoidal form and translucent hexagonal panels suggest a greenhouse that merges the functions of living quarters and food production. It is up to the visitor to decide on the utopian or dystopian nature of this playful eco-fiction.
